David C. Reavis has been providing banking consultant services to the SC State Treasurer's Office since July 2015. Prior to coming to the Treasurer's Office, he retired from North Carolina State Government with 36 years of service. With the State of NC, he held the roles of Director of Banking Operations with the  State Treasurer's Office, and Director of E-Commerce Initiatives with the State Controller's Office. After retirement, he worked with the University of North Carolina Statewide System where he developed a PCI Data Security Compliance Program for use by all state universities.

A 1974 graduate of East Carolina University, David holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance, and is a past president of the NC Treasury Management Association.  In 2011, he was bestowed "The Order of the Long Leaf Pine" by the North Carolina Governor.
